As a Soft Scrub Captain I get the opportunity on occasion to try out their new products. Just last week I received a bottle of their newest Total (bath and kitchen) and a few coupons to try out.
I’ve used the Total line before in the bathroom and kitchen lines, but this new Total product is multi-purpose. One bottle, every room, it will definitely make cleaning quicker.
There are a couple of things I really like about the Total line in general one of them being that you can use bottle upside down. Who hasn’t been trying to spray a hard to reach area only to have a bottle leak on you or quit working all together? It’s frustrating, especially if you’re working with harsh chemicals. No one wants to wear toilet cleaner on their hands or clothes. The Total bottle line works right side or upside down making it pretty convenient. You can also adjust the spray to be a sprits or foam which comes in for different areas of your home. I’m a foam girl in areas like my kitchen where I want to hit a stain on the stove and not nearby food or utensils. Then in the bathroom I’m a sprits cleaner b/c I like to make sure I’ve hit as much as possible.
You can also find out more about the Total line and the new all purpsose cleaner on their facebook page.
GIVEAWAY INFORMATION
If you haven’t already had the chance to try the newest Total all purpose cleaning product I’m going to give you the chance right now. Take a few seconds and use the ENTER HERE form below to enter for a chance to win your own full size bottle. I’ll draw a winner next Monday and you can enter one time. Good Luck!
I try out quite a few products and only talk about the ones I really enjoy using so you’ll know when you read a review here it’s an honest opinion.

Seventh Generation natural cleaning GIVEAWAY!
Thanks to myblogspark.comand Seventh Generation I was able to try out a few of their environmentally friendly cleaning products and so can you!

Seventh Generation sent me (and maybe you);
2 Jumbo rolls of 100% recycled paper towels
1 bottle of disinfecting multi surface cleaning (Lemongrass & Thyme scent)
1 bottle of disinfecting bathroom cleaner (Lemongrass & Thyme scent)
1 bottle of disinfecting wipes
The book “The Conscious Kitchen” by Alexandra Zissu
And a nice carry all to keep it in.
I absolutely love the disinfecting multi surface spray. With our first little one on the way I like the fact it kills over 99% of germs naturally, including influenza A and H1N1. Since the cleaner is natural you can use it on anything including high chairs and children’s toys, a feature we’ll be using in the near future. The disinfecting spray isn’t something Matt and I would have even though could be all natural so we would have never tried it without this opportunity.
I also however really like what I’ve been able to read in the book. “The Conscious Kitchen” by Alexandra Zissu – I’ve only had time to flip through it so far but I can tell I’ll be using this book for reference a lot in the future. She list things to buy, foods to look for and questions to ask while you’re shipping. My favorite tip so far is her advice to start small. Don’t switch out all your cleaning products right away – instead start with just one, preferably the one you use the most. And she’s right I’m not ready to swap out everything right now but I can definitely start the change by buying the Seventh Generation multi surface cleaner for now on.
So now on to the giveaway!
There are four ways to enter and you can do so until next Thursday, April 29th at midnight.
Option 1: Leave a comment answering the following question.
“ According to the Consumer Product safety commission how many hazardous chemical products can be found in the average American home?”
*Take your best guess – answers do not have to be correct
Option 2: Become a fan of OnOurWay on facebook from the link HERE
Or leave a comment letting me know you already are
Option 3: Sign up to receive new post via email or RSS feed
you can sign up along the left hand side of the blog – or let me know if you already receive our updates
Option 4: Post about this giveaway somewhere and include a link back here
It can be a forum you visit, facebook twitter or your own blog – just make sure and leave me a link back to your post if possible.
Pick any of the four ways to enter or enter four times by doing all of them but just make sure for each entry you leave a comment with your contact info so I can contact you in case you win.
Remember you can enter until Thursday, April 29th at midnight. I’ll post the winner on Friday the 30th.

Fiber One Giveaway!
So the very generous folks from Fiber One through myblogspark.com provided me with a healthy gift basket full of items to maintain a healthy life style.
Now obviously since I’m 18 weeks pregnant I’m not trying to lose any weight at this time I am; however, trying to stay semi active and the pedometer has been a great reminder to get up and move every day.
I’m also love the cute water bottle they sent along and the reflective snap bracelet (anyone else remember those?). Yet, surprisingly enough my favorite item was the Fiber One sample they included. I hate to admit it but often times in the morning I don’t have time for breakfast. I took the samples to work and stuck them in my desk, once I became snacky hungry rather than grab a doughnut I was able to eat a bar and hold myself off till lunch. The bars are not overly dry like I find most “breakfast” bars to be and they are such a better alternative to the bag of chips or other junk food option I would normally buy from our vending machine. I’ll be picking these up in future grocery shopping trips.
And the best part for you, my readers is Fiber One and myblogspark.com would like to send you your very own gift pack so you can try out their new product.
I’m only going to run the giveaway until March 3rd so make sure and get yourself entered soon. There are two ways to enter and you can enter once with each option.
Option One:
Leave a comment on this post with a way that you make weight management easier on yourself.
Option Two:
Become a fan on our new facebook page HERE and leave me a comment letting me know (this will work if you are currently a fan as well).
REMEMBER: It’s very important to leave me a way to contact you in your comment so I can notify you if you should be our gift pack winner!

Also don't forget about the 60 FREE swagbucks for new sign ups now until March 4th. Make sure to use our REFERRAL LINK and the special Code: MEGANSCODE2

Kroger Mega Savings Event Shopping trip
So after an exciting week I was finally able to make it to Kroger this afternoon to participate in the Mega Savings event. Remember you can still enter to win your own $30 gift card to use during this event - HERE

I shopped at the Kroger located on Holmes Rd in Lansing, Michigan because they always double coupons (some local stores only double when the ads states it). The whole thing was going great, the store was well stocked and I was able to grab everything we wanted. When we were finished our cashier (Christy) was really friendly; at least until she asked me if I had any coupons, the conversation went south from there.
She immediately took out all my internet printed coupons and said they didn’t accept them. After I objected to whether or not the store would take these legitimate coupons, she called a manager who took the coupons to “inspect them”. Once the manager returned she approved all the coupons except my Sobe buy one get one free which was printed from the same site as all the other coupons (coupons.com) so I’m not sure why that one was forbidden but I let it go. All was well afterward and I was able to save a ton.
Items included in the buy 10 get $5
Item prices DO NOT reflect the $5 discount – I took it off at the end
Betty Crocker Scalloped Potatoes $1.69
- Used $ .40 off one – shortcuts.com
2 Betty Crocker Fruit Shapes (2.49) $4.98
- Used (2) $ .40 off one (doubled)
- Used $ .40 off one – shortcuts.com

Pillsbury Simply Cookie dough $3.49
- Used Free coupon $3.49
2 Nature Valley Nut Clusters (2.99) $5.98

2 Speed Stick deodorants (2.38) $4.76
- Used (2) $1.50 off one
Mighty Dog food $. 89

- Used Free coupon (facebook) $3.59
Yoplait Yogurt $.60
- Used Free Coupon $ .60
4 M &M packets (.79) $3.16
- Used (2) Free coupons $1.58
Total before coupons: $62.09
Kroger Mega Event discounts: $10
Shortcut coupons: $4
Paper coupons and doubles: $26.69
Total after coupons: $21.40
So I ended up saving 65% for a total of $40.69
After I returned home and started doing my work up I realized she charged me for FOUR packs of M&M’s and did not scan my $2 off for the stir fry. Had these things been done correctly and my Sobe coupon taken I would have saved an additional $4.57. This is what I get for not paying enough attention at the check out.

Great Reads and giveaway reminder!
Don’t forget we have a great $30 Kroger gift card giveaway going on right now. Click HERE to find out how you can sign up.
I’m still trying to get a grip on things around here so I’m going to “borrow” some great post from my RSS reader to keep you entertained.
Frugal Dad has a great post up; “Keep your cash, I want my clunker”. He’s used some great spreadsheets to explain why this government rebate program might not be the best option for you.
The new author at Blogging away Debt has a list of her reasons for optimism in finances. I really need to sit down and make a similar list myself.
Check out Jamie at I’m a money magnet to see her first Kroger shopping trip. She was able to pick up a ton of items and spent a total $.73 out of pocket!! Find out more about the Kroger mega event and learn how you can win a $30 gift card from onourwayonline.com HERE

Kroger coupon match up
Late last night I posted about the current giveaway going on for a $30 Kroger gift card to celebrate their Mega Savings Event.
If you head on over to MoneySavingMom.com she has posted a great coupon match up for some General Mills cereal and Nature Valley Granola Bars which will allow you to walk out with them for practically free.
It's a great match up to get you started if you're slacking a little like me.
Anyone else have a coupon match up posted or found a helpful one in blogland? Feel free to leave it in the comments (just make sure to link where you found it if the info was on another blog).

Kroger Mega Savings Event & $30 giveaway
Starting this week until September 2nd Kroger is running their Mega Savings Event again.
The event allows customers to buy 10 participating brands and receive $5 off your total when you use your shopper card at the checkout. My favorite part is this time around there is no limit on the number of times you can run the deal in a single transaction. (In the past my stores have limited it to three).
You can figure out which products qualify by their double yellow tags or your local paper. My paper didn’t have a huge amount of products listed so I need to get to a store before I can give you a total run down.
Check out Kroger.com for a complete listing of participating stores, dates and local flyers for your sale.
The best part for you the reader; thanks to myblogspark.com, General Mills and PepsiCo I’ve been given a $30 gift card to give away so you can hit the stores up and receive some good deals made great when they’re FREE!
Since the sale ends September 2nd I want to give you plenty of time to get out there and spend your gift card so this giveaway will end this Sunday, August 23rd at midnight. I’ll pick a winner Monday morning.
You can enter up to four times by completing each of the following:
1. Leave a comment stating if you win the card how much do you think you’ll be able to save with just coupon matches and the instant $5 savings? (not including the $30 of FREE groceries)
2. Follow Onourway on Twitter and tweet the following message (or something similar)
Just entered a great giveaway for $30 Kroger GC from @Onourway visit: http://blog.onourwayonline.com/
3. Follow my RSS or email feeds.
4. Blog about this giveaway on your blog or other social outlet. Make sure to include a link back to Onourwayonline.com and leave me your perma link in the comment form.
Just make sure to leave a new comment with your contact information for each entry.
Good Luck!
Side Note: I haven’t been able to sit down and do my coupon matches yet but will post a picture of my great buy once I make it to the store – hopefully Thursday night.

Yoplait Thick and Creamy giveaway!
Thanks to myblogspark.com I was able to try out one of the Yoplait Thick and Creamy Yogurts. I’ll be honest, I’m not always a huge yogurt fan, I think it’s a texture issue, but I do love taking one of the Yoplait Thick and Creamy options, sticking them in the freezer and eating it very cold.
On my way home from work after a night shift I’ll call Matt and have him throw one in the freezer for me. That way when I get home I have a healthy snack available. Have you ever tried them semi-frozen? I highly recommend it.
The Yoplait thick and creamy is so thick it’s said you can write in it with a toothpick and it will keep the design. I unfortunately didn’t try this because I ended up eating it too fast, but I’d love to see someone else give it a shot.
And just to show Yoplait means business about their great product they are allowing me the opportunity to give TWO of my readers their very own Yoplait gift basket.

Each basket includes
A coupon for free Yoplait yogurt
A stationary packet
Sticker collection (post its and other office supplies)
A box of adorable note cards and envelopes
A pen to finish off the package
The giveaway will run until Sunday, July 26th at midnight and there are lots of ways to enter. Just make sure to leave a new comment with your contact information for each entry.
1. Leave a comment stating which Yoplait yogurt flavor is your favorite
2. Follow Onourway on Twitter and tweet the following message (or something similar)

Book Sale Manager - Site Review
As anyone who has read this blog for more than a few weeks knows Matt and I LOVE books and book sales. We are total book geeks – in fact books are one of the reasons I didn’t post on the Fourth of July – we were at our annual Bargain Books sale. I forgot to take a picture of our purchases but trust me there are some great reads.
And since I’ll take any opportunity to talk books I wanted to let you know about a great resource for how you can find out where local book sales are taking place. When we first started shopping at book sales we never knew when they were happening and missed out on some great opportunities. I have our three favorite sales memorized but we still missed one in April – it was horrifying.
That’s where the new site Booksalemanager.com steps in – by using their site you’ll never miss a sale again. There are a few sites out there that list book sales but they often don’t have a search feature so you’re left scrolling pages of sales trying to find the right one. It can be very frustrating trust me. Booksalemanager.com is an easy to use search function with a clean page design so you only get the information you’re asking for.
Right now the site is still growing and will be adding sales significantly in the future so if your search didn’t find anything too close today keep checking back. They provide all these services for free, to the buyers and sale organizers which I find amazing.
Book sales are a great way to find reading material at a severely discounted price, I highly recommend you give one a shot. Take a few minutes right now and search the Booksalemanager.com site to find a sale nearby.
